One of the 3 people who entered the sea at night in Mersin drowned; 2 people are being sought

The incident occurred at night on the Atakent-Yapraklıkoy coast of the district. Three unidentified people who entered the sea to cool off at night began to be swept away by the waves. Gendarmerie and coast guard teams were dispatched to the area after citizens who noticed the three people struggling in the sea reported it.

The lifeless body of an unidentified woman, one of the 3 people swept away by the current, was found during the search conducted by the teams at sea. An investigation has been launched to determine the identities of the woman whose lifeless body was found and the 2 missing people.

Teams continue their search for the other two people missing at sea.
