120 million lira cable car scam

It was announced that the bill for the cable car theft that occurred during the AKP's term at the Denizli Metropolitan Municipality has reached 95 million lira. CHP Denizli Deputy Şeref Arpacı, noting that the theft occurred at the cable car operated by the General Manager of the municipality-owned BELTAŞ company, said, “The General Manager instructed the employees of the cable car he operates, ‘Cut out receipts for one-third of the cash payments, and collect the rest without receipts and bring them to me.’ In this way, 25-30 million lira was stolen from the cable car. Similarly, 95 million lira was stolen from 30 facilities at the restaurants, cafes, snack bars, and ski resorts.” Denizli Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Bülent Nuri Çavuşoğlu, also of the CHP, described the former BELTAŞ manager as, “Even the devil is afraid of him.”
'THERE IS A 30 MILLION DIFFERENCE'
Bülent Nuri Çavuşoğlu also filed a criminal complaint against the former BELTAŞ management regarding the same issue, and made a statement about the former BELTAŞ manager, saying, "We detected official and illegitimate collections on the cable car. There is a 30 million lira difference between the two."
