Koç Holding to establish crypto asset platform: 1.2 billion lira capital increase

Yapı Kredi Bankası A.Ş., a subsidiary of Koç Holding, announced a capital increase of 1 billion 185 million lira for the establishment of a crypto asset platform.
According to Yapı Kredi Bankası A.Ş.'s notification to the Public Disclosure Platform (KAP), Koç Holding has taken action to establish a crypto asset trading platform.
The KAP statement, which stated that a capital increase of 1 billion 185 million lira was made, is as follows:
“In order to meet the capital needs of the company planned to be established under the ownership of Yapı Kredi Finansal Teknolojiler A.Ş., whose capital is fully owned by our Bank, and subject to obtaining the relevant permits, to operate as a crypto asset trading platform, the Bank’s Board of Directors has decided that our Bank will participate in capital increases of Yapı Kredi Finansal Teknolojiler A.Ş. up to a total of TL 1,185,000,000, to be made until March 26, 2026, and that the General Directorate will be authorized to carry out all necessary applications and transactions.
Important developments regarding the process will be shared with our investors.”
