The expert report of the Rönesans, which became the grave of 269 people in the earthquake, has outraged the lawyer who lost his family.

A new, months-awaited expert report has been added to the case file in the Rönesans Residence case, which was offered for sale in Hatay with the slogan "A corner of paradise" and where 269 people lost their lives in the February 6 earthquakes. The defendants, identified as "primarily at fault" in the previous expert report, were reclassified as "secondarily at fault" or "not at fault" in the new report. The report lists Hüseyin Yalçın Coşkun, a contractor, structural and architectural project manager, and construction site manager who recently died in Serbia, as the only person identified as "primarily at fault."
The next hearing in the Rönesans Residence case will be held on July 11th at 9:40 a.m. at the Hatay 3rd High Criminal Court. Attorney Yeşim Toplu, who lost her mother, father, and sister at the Rönesans Residence, assessed the situation. Toplu said, "Unfortunately, the process is taking too long, and our requests are being delayed. The expert report we've been waiting for for a year and a half was suspiciously added to the file only two days before the hearing."
"TODAY IT MAY BE ME, TOMORROW IT MAY BE YOU"
Toplu noted that the new expert report only references the death of fugitive contractor Coşkun in Serbia and the earthquake, noting that no review of the ground survey or architectural design was included. Toplu stated, "The report prepared for the Rönesans Residence, which has been the subject of worldwide debate and suffered an unprecedented collapse, has shown almost no fault. We will submit our objections to this report, which lacks any scientific basis or legal foundation."
Lawyer Toplu also called on the public for Friday's trial and made the following statements:
"Stand with us in the earthquake cases, offer your support. This isn't just our case. It could be me today, or you tomorrow. We have a hearing at the Hatay 3rd High Criminal Court on July 11th at 9:40 a.m. We call on everyone to follow the case and support our struggle for justice."
