The stock market started the day with an increase

At the opening, BIST 100 index rose by 8.90 points and 0.09 percent compared to the previous close, reaching 9,583.73 points.
The banking index gained 0.12 percent and the holding index gained 0.33 percent.
Among the sector indices, the one that gained the most was real estate investment trusts with 0.37 percent, while the one that lost the most was sports with 0.89 percent.
BIST 100 index in Borsa Istanbul, which followed a sales-heavy course in the country yesterday, closed the day with a 0.28 percent loss of value at 9,574.83 points.
While uncertainties regarding the trade policy pursued by the US administration continue to complicate pricing in global markets, news flow regarding the Russia-Ukraine War is in the focus of investors.
On the other hand, Borsa Istanbul announced that the up-tick rule applied yesterday in short selling transactions for stocks included in the BIST 50 index that can be short sold will continue today.
Analysts stated that today, domestic sectoral inflation expectations, growth in Germany, housing price index in the USA, New York Fed consumer confidence index and Richmond Fed manufacturing industry index will be monitored, and noted that technically, 9,700 and 9,750 levels are resistance in BIST 100 index, while 9,500 and 9,400 points are support.
