It's the golden age of AI, and there's a new gospel in Silicon Valley : Founding a startup isn't just for the select few. It's the new rite of passage to adulthood.
Young founders have long been icons. Bill Gates, Steve Jobs, Mark Zuckerberg, and others dropped out of school as teenagers and 20-somethings to build their tech empires, inspiring Generation Z founders to follow suit.

But fueled by the hype around artificial intelligence , the ease of programming, and the feeling that the clock is ticking, a handful of young people are building startups instead of following the well-trodden path of a college education or a Big Tech job.
