Karol Nawrocki gave the first such interview

President-elect Karol Nawrocki gave his first foreign interview to the Hungarian weekly "Mandiner" after winning the presidential elections in Poland.
Karol Nawrocki pointed out, among other things, the need to strengthen the Visegrad Group (V4) and the eastern flank of NATO. He assured that he wants to strengthen the V4 and the Bucharest Nine. He emphasized that closer cooperation within the V4 is crucial to strengthening the eastern flank of NATO.
Polish-Hungarian relations were an important aspect of the interview. Karol Nawrocki recalled the common struggle of both nations against communism. He also drew attention to the historical ties that bind Warsaw with Budapest. He also admitted that he personally had many friends in Hungary, which he called "a very important ally of Poland".
Karol Nawrocki indicated that Poland will continue to support Ukraine, but noted that he is against Kiev's rapid membership in the European Union. According to him, Ukraine should first regulate its relations with its neighbors , including Poland, especially in historical matters. Such as the Volhynian genocide.
He also pointed out , among other things, that the main threat to the region remains Russia with its aggressive policy.
