Nomad World Fest returns to Albufeira this month with experts from around the world

The 3rd « Nomad World Fest – Albufeira Edition » is coming up, taking place between the 27th and 31st of May, with the aim of placing Albufeira at the center of attention of digital nomads from all over the world.
This is an unconventional festival, co-organized by DNA Portugal and Albufeira City Council , taking place at the Marina, and where communications will be presented by experts with experience in areas such as remote work, web3, co-living, co-working, AI and the future of work, alongside practical workshops and lots of fun, all with the aim of celebrating «freedom, connection and personal growth».
The ticket office for the «Nomad World Fest – Albufeira Edition 2025» is now open and the organization guarantees that it is a «transformative experience for digital nomads and remote workers from all over the world».
In practice, the event is a mix of lectures by experts, workshops and lots of fun on the beach, including sunsets with live music, boat trips along the coast, electronic music, walks along the trails of Praia da Falésia and others, gastronomic exhibitions, beach volleyball, paddle lessons and much more.
The «Nomad World Fest – Albufeira Edition» provides a «redefinition of the understanding of work and life», with one of the attractions being «the environment, the beauty of the landscape and the warm welcome of Albufeira».
In return, the event generates high visibility for the tourist destination on social media, reinforcing the role of the municipality in the digital nomad community.
Regarding this meeting, José Carlos Rolo, Mayor of Albufeira, says that “our Sala Azul, as a meeting point for digital nomads, is a good example of how its success is the result of all our involvement and support in this area”.
The mayor highlights the preference of generations Y and Z for this area, «with studies telling us that these generations take into account, when deciding on their job, whether or not it allows them the possibility of moving around, that is, of being able to write a report with their feet in the sea, although it is not the same as teleworking».
The mayor is confident that «Albufeira will be the scene of many references in publications about this meeting, that is, of a wide dissemination of a good image of the city and the welcome we provide to all digital nomads on the planet».
In last year's edition, from July 30 to October 27, publications related to the «Nomad World Fest – Albufeira Edition» received 106,452 views, with stories receiving 36.6 percent of views, publications 37 percent and Reels 24.4 percent.
In the period from September 12 to October 22, 7,000 stories were published. Regarding posts published between June 28 and October 26, the average reach per post was 240.25 (+926.37 percent) per post, compared to the previous 12 months.
It is also worth noting that in the top 10 countries that most searched for information about the event, Portugal appears in first place (26.88 percent), followed by the United States (12.10 percent), Spain (11.83 percent), the United Kingdom (6.72 percent), Germany (3.49 percent), Italy (3.36 percent), Brazil (2.69 percent), the Netherlands (2.28 percent), Canada (2.15 percent) and Switzerland (2.02 percent).
In the top 10 cities were Lisbon (3.49 percent), Albufeira (3.35 percent), New York (2.28 percent), Barcelona (2.02 percent), London (1.85 percent), Faro (1.61 percent), Funchal (1.48 percent), Olhão (1.21 percent), Porto (1.21 percent) and Cascais (2.02 percent).
