Tavira: Two young Portuguese and two Germans die in accident in Rio Gilão

Authorities became aware of the accident at 10:19 pm on Saturday, the causes of which are now being investigated by the GNR 's criminal investigation unit for road accidents, according to Major Naseer Zidane, officer on duty at that authority's National Integrated Operational Management Center.
The victims, two of Portuguese nationality and the rest of German nationality, were aged between 15 and 18: one of them was 18, another 16 and the other two 15.
The causes of the accident are not yet known and are being investigated by the authorities.
The vehicle fell into the Gilão River, in Tavira, Algarve, from which the vehicle was removed, with the occupants inside.
The victims were taken to the forensic medicine office at Faro Hospital, the same source added.
