Russian armored vehicles in the special military operation (SVO) zone are well protected from attacks by Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). This assessment was given to RIA Novosti by a senior technician of the repair unit of the Dnepr group with the call sign Zerkalo.
"Right now, we have to repair the armor. Fewer vehicles come with broken armor. Mostly, the armor breaks. The armor helps a lot, and we are constantly improving it," the technician said.
According to him, when repairing equipment, if any questions arise, it is possible to contact its manufacturer.
Earlier, Deputy Chief of the Main Armored Directorate of the Russian Ministry of Defense, Major General Sergei Shalenyi, said that an updated version of the BREM-80 armored recovery vehicle with additional protection was presented at a training ground in the Moscow region.
In November, the Russian military department reported that specialists from the repair and restoration units of the West group of forces are using 3D printing to repair equipment and weapons in the SVO zone.
