Critical meeting for minimum wage: What will the minimum wage be in January 2026, and by what percentage will it increase?


The Tripartite Advisory Board, comprised of representatives from workers, employers, and the government, will convene on October 21 to address the functioning of the Minimum Wage Determination Commission. At the meeting, hosted by the Ministry, the parties will exchange views on the structure and functioning of the Minimum Wage Determination Commission before the minimum wage negotiations begin in December.

Economists expect the January 2026 increase to be between 30 and 40 percent. The current minimum wage is 22,104 lira. A 30% increase would increase the minimum wage by 6,631 lira. In case of a 30% increase, the minimum wage will be 28,735 TL.
In case of a 31% increase, the minimum wage will be 28,956 TL.
In case of a 32% increase, the minimum wage will be 29,177 TL.
In case of a 33% increase, the minimum wage will be 29,398 TL.
In case of a 34% increase, the minimum wage will be 29,619 TL.
In case of a 35% increase, the minimum wage will be 29,840 TL.

In case of a 36% increase, the minimum wage will be 30,061 TL. In case of a 37% increase, the minimum wage will be 30,282 TL. In case of a 38% increase, the minimum wage will be 30,503 TL. In case of a 39% increase, the minimum wage will be 30,724 TL. In case of a 40% increase, the minimum wage will be 30,945 TL.
