Although no official announcement has been made yet, the IMEI registration fee for 2026 is expected to be around 56,000 TL. This estimate is calculated by taking into account the 2025 revaluation rate and potential inflationary effects.

The new rates are expected to take effect on January 1, 2026. Official figures will become clear after the Ministry of Treasury and Finance releases October inflation data.

WHAT IS IMEI?

IMEI (International Mobile Equipment Identity) is a 15-digit identification number assigned to mobile phones and some electronic devices. This number is unique to each device and identifies it internationally. The IMEI number can be found on the phone's box, on the invoice, or in the device's Settings > About section.

The IMEI number allows you to verify the legal status of your phone. Unregistered or stolen devices can be identified through this system and blocked from communication. To use phones purchased abroad in Türkiye, you must register their IMEI with the Information and Communication Technologies Authority (BTK) using this number.
