Türkiye's hospital giant filed for bankruptcy

Another large company has joined the bankruptcy process. Private Bilgi Hospital in Ankara has filed for bankruptcy due to financial difficulties.
A temporary respite decision was made for 3 months.The Ankara 1st Commercial Court of First Instance reviewed the bankruptcy application filed by Batıkent Bilgi Health Services Tourism Construction and Trade Inc. Following the assessment, a three-month temporary extension was granted and a temporary board of bankruptcy commissioners was appointed.
Creditors were given the right to object within 7 days.Three experts have been appointed to the board. The commissioners will oversee all financial and administrative activities of the hospital. Furthermore, all decisions and actions of the company's management will be subject to the approval of the interim commissioner board. The court stated that the decision will have repercussions for creditors, secured creditors, contracts, and the debtor under Articles 288, 294, 295, 296, and 297 of the Enforcement and Bankruptcy Law. Creditors have seven days to object.
Private Bilgi Hospital operates as an affiliate hospital (a hospital that signs a protocol with the University and provides medical education and health services together) of Ankara Medipol University Faculty of Medicine, with the approval of the Ministry of Health and the Council of Higher Education.
