Champions League: Fenerbahçe eliminated by Benfica thanks to Kerem Aktürkoğlu's goal

In the 0-0 second leg of the UEFA Champions League play-off match, Portuguese team Benfica eliminated Fenerbahçe by winning 1-0 with a goal scored by Kerem Aktürkoğlu in the 35th minute.
Fenerbahçe will continue its journey in the UEFA Europa League.
The first leg, at Fenerbahçe's home ground, ended 0-0. The second leg was played at Estadio da Luz.
Benfica came close to scoring in the third minute of the match through Barreiro, but Livakovic prevented the goal from being scored in a clear position.
In the 10th minute, Kerem Aktürkoğlu took a corner kick and Antonio Silva headed the ball into the net for Pavlidis from close range. Following a VAR warning, referee Slavko Vincic disallowed the goal for offside.
In the 35th minute, Benfica took a 1-0 lead with a single shot from Kerem Aktürkoğlu after a pass from Barreiro.

The first half ended with the Portuguese team leading 1-0.
Fenerbahçe started the second half with a substitution. İsmail Yüksek came on for Sofyan Amrabat.

In the 72nd minute, the Yellow Canaries came close to scoring when En-Nesyri headed in Oğuz's cross from the right wing. The Moroccan's header hit the crossbar.
Fenerbahçe's Talisca was sent off after receiving two yellow cards in the 79th and 82nd minutes.

There were no further goals for the remainder of the match, which ended 1-0 with Portugal leading.
