Saturday morning at Szczecin's Różanka Garden had something special about it – instead of the typical summer warmth, it greeted participants with a crisp coolness and the first hint of the approaching autumn. It was in this atmosphere that dozens of people gathered at the Różany Ogród Sztuki (Rose Garden of Art) to participate in a new workshop – Qigong classes. Although men were in the minority, their presence complemented the group of participants who warmed up their bodies and calmed their minds together with the rhythm of calm, flowing movements.

Qigong is an ancient Chinese practice that combines elements of movement, breathwork, and mindfulness. It induces a state of harmony, helps release tension, improves circulation, and enhances the function of internal organs. "These are gentle exercises that anyone can do, regardless of age or fitness level," emphasize the organizers. Today's meeting was led by Karolina Kurpiel-Zawadzka, a yoga and Qigong teacher. Participants began with a gentle warm-up to awaken the body on a chilly morning, then performed a series of simple, standing movements coordinated with the breath. Finally, it was time for a self-massage, which further relaxed the muscles and put everyone in a good mood.

The classes, though completely new to the Rose Garden of Art program, quickly gained the participants' appreciation. The shared outdoor practice, surrounded by greenery and the first, almost autumnal gusts of wind, allowed them to experience how movement can be both a source of energy and peace. "It was the perfect start to the day," those who attended the morning meeting agreed.

The organizers announce that this is just the beginning of the Qigong adventure at Różanka. The next class will take place on Saturday, August 30th at 10:00 a.m. All you need is comfortable clothing, a mat, and an openness to an experience that can soothe your senses and energize you for the entire day. Even as summer slowly gives way to autumn, the Rose Garden of Art offers plenty of opportunities to regain balance and improve your mood.
