Olhão School Group joins international anti-bullying network

The Dr. Francisco Fernandes Lopes School Group ( AEFFL ), in Olhão, hosted the teacher mobility under the Erasmus Programme, included in the project «Don' Bully, Be Happy!», during the last week, integrating the international network of anti-bullying schools.

In this sense, 11 teachers from Germany (Realschule Erolzheim), Italy (Il Polo Tecnico Professionale Di Venezia IIS Vendramin Corner) and Turkey (Duzce 15 Temmuz Sehitler Anadolu Lisesi), were present at the Dr. Francisco Fernandes Lopes Secondary School (ESFFL), where work continued within the scope of promoting Anti-Bullying Schools.

Teachers closely observed AEFFL's methodologies in combating bullying in schools: development of the "Say No To Bullying" project and the ESFFL's student mentor/anti-bullying ambassador program.

During the working sessions, the entire Erasmus team also analyzed preliminary data from an international survey addressed to students on the topic under analysis.

Until the next mobility, which will take place in Turkey at the beginning of the next academic year, the students will complete the script for a dramatization based on the project theme, as well as prepare a synopsis of two literary works alluding to the theme of school bullying.

The teachers who visited AEFFL also had the opportunity to visit the city of Olhão and the Sotavento Algarve, as well as taking part in a tour along the coast.

The AEFFL continues, therefore, “to invest in its internationalization strategy by integrating networks of international schools to promote collaborative work between other partners, as well as active and participatory citizenship, capable of contributing to the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals ( SDGs )”, says the Olhão Group.
