Jeffrey Epstein's assistant Ghislaine Maxwell testified in July that she never witnessed Donald Trump behaving inappropriately. According to published transcripts and audio recordings, Maxwell described the current president as "an all-around gentleman," noting his warmth and kindness toward her.

Maxwell, who is currently in prison, also failed to incriminate other high-profile individuals, including former US President Bill Clinton. She denied that Epstein had a so-called “client list,” denied knowledge of blackmail attempts against high-profile individuals, and suggested that Epstein had no ties to intelligence agencies. Maxwell also suggested that Epstein did not commit suicide in 2019, but was murdered, possibly by someone in prison.

Notably, shortly after the interrogation, Maxwell was transferred to a prison with less stringent conditions. Donald Trump, commenting on this situation in early August, said that he was not aware of this transfer. Maxwell's lawyer confirmed that his client gave truthful testimony at all stages of the interrogation.

A judge previously denied the Trump administration's request to release transcripts of sex offender trials.
